Ready-to-use ablative coating for protection against fire and smoke
mcr Tecbor Joint Paste is a ready-to-use product forming an ablative coating with an aqueous polymer dispersion. In the event of fire, it triggers an endothermic reaction, thus preventing the spread of flames and limiting the propagation of fire and smoke.
mcr Tecbor Joint Paste is most commonly used for protecting cable trays to ensure continuity of power supply or signal transmission.
Sealant for cable ducts
Also used as a sealant for cable ducts constructed with the mcr Tecbor board system.
Alternative to board enclosures
The solution based on mcr Tecbor Joint Paste is ideal wherever board cladding cannot be applied.
Characteristics
Stir the paste before application. The product may be diluted with water, but not exceeding 5% of its weight.
Apply using an airless spray gun; for small surfaces a spatula or brush may also be used.
Once applied, the product resists temperatures from -40°C to +80°C without chemical degradation, discoloration, or loss of performance.
Do not apply at ambient temperatures below +5°C or above +30°C.
The product is not sensitive to moisture and can be used on outdoor surfaces. If the air humidity is high during application, multiple thin layers are recommended to facilitate drying.
