What do the classes R30, R60, R90 and R120 mean?

The letter R stands for load-bearing capacity, i.e. the ability of a structural element to carry the required loads under fire conditions.

The number indicates the time in minutes for which the element should retain this property under the relevant test or assessment conditions.

For example, R60 means the required load-bearing capacity for 60 minutes.
