    PRIMELACK S is an anti-corrosion primer paint within the passive fire protection system for metal structures exposed to cellulosic fires – PROTELACK SFP. It is intended for use when the ambient temperature is at least +5ºC.

    Two-component epoxy primer and/or intermediate coat, high-solid type, with high mechanical resistance. 
  • Protective Properties
    It provides excellent sealing and anti-corrosion performance, thanks to the presence of lamellar and active anti-corrosion pigments.

PRIMELACK S is a two-component epoxy paint designed as a primer and/or intermediate coat of the high-solid type, with high mechanical resistance. It provides excellent sealing and anti-corrosion protection due to lamellar and active anti-corrosion pigments.

Application

Surface preparation before primer application

  • The surface must be clean and dry, free of dust, grease, salts, and ice. It is recommended to apply the primer immediately after abrasive blasting to avoid flash rust.

Environmental requirements during application and curing

  • Minimum ambient temperature: +5ºC.

System components

  • PROTELACK SFP consists of an anti-corrosion primer, an intumescent fire protection coating, and a topcoat based on solvents.

  • High-quality finish with a wide choice of RAL colors
  • Can be applied directly over steel surfaces previously coated with other epoxy primers (no need for removal), reducing project costs
  • Fire resistance ratings: open profiles up to R120, closed profiles up to R90
  • For exterior applications (X): must be finished with Protefilm T polyurethane topcoat, 120 µm thickness
  • For interior applications (Z1): can be applied without a topcoat; white fire paint provides an aesthetic finish
