    The mcr Polylack W water-based intumescent coating system is designed for passive fire protection of steel structures in buildings.
  • Application 
    It can be applied both indoors and outdoors (with partial exposure), especially where a high-quality aesthetic finish is required. 
  • Type of elements 
    Suitable for fire protection of steel elements with open and closed profiles. 
  • Fire resistance 
    The fire resistance of the system depends on the correct coating thickness, which is determined by: the section factor (U/A) of the protected steel element, the required fire resistance class, the critical steel temperature.

The mcr Polylack W system is a water-based intumescent coating designed for fire protection of steel structures in construction.
It can be applied indoors and outdoors (with partial exposure), combining durability with a high-quality aesthetic finish.
Applicable to both open and closed steel profiles.

Fire resistance is achieved through the correct determination of coating thickness based on:

  • the section factor (U/A),
  • the required fire resistance class,
  • the critical temperature of the steel.
