How does water mist differ from a sprinkler system?

The basic difference lies in the droplet size and the way water is used.

A conventional sprinkler uses larger droplets and a higher water flow. High-pressure water mist breaks water up into very fine droplets, significantly increasing their contact surface with the hot surroundings.

This makes it possible to achieve intensive cooling with a lower water demand.
