Nowa marka mcr wyróżniona Red Dot Award 2026

“MERCOR” S.A. Has Changed Its Name to mcr S.A. New Brand Identity Wins the Prestigious Red Dot Design Award 2026!

In the fire protection industry, red is almost the default colour. When designing our new brand, we deliberately chose to move away from it. Today, that decision has earned us… a red dot. The mcr visual identity has been honoured with the Red Dot Award: Brands & Communication Design 2026.

This distinction is particularly meaningful to us, as the award-winning design accompanied one of the most important changes in our company’s history – “MERCOR” S.A. changed its name to mcr S.A.

mcr – a new name and brand, nearly 40 years of experience

The change of name and visual identity did not mark the creation of a new company. mcr S.A. continues the business and legacy of “MERCOR” S.A., a Polish company with nearly four decades of experience in fire protection.

We remain the same organisation, built on the expertise of our people, our engineering and manufacturing capabilities, and long-standing relationships with customers and business partners.

At the same time, our new brand allows us to communicate more clearly what mcr represents today: a Polish technology group developing comprehensive fire protection and building safety solutions in Poland and across international markets.

The mcr Group brings together specialised companies, centres of competence and manufacturing facilities in Poland, Spain and Hungary. Together, we develop an ecosystem of safety technologies encompassing passive fire protection, active fire suppression systems, fire compartmentation, and the integration and digital management of building safety systems.

A Brand Identity That Reflects Our Direction

Creating the new brand was about much more than changing a logo or colour palette. Our ambition was to develop a consistent visual language for the entire Group – one that reflects our technological expertise, diverse capabilities and international ambitions.

We deliberately moved away from red, a colour so strongly associated with the fire protection industry. We wanted an identity that would not define mcr solely through a single product category, but would communicate a broader perspective: engineering, technology and safety.

The new identity was developed in collaboration with Dragon Rouge. It was the result of a shared effort to connect the heritage of an established company with the direction in which the entire Group is evolving.

Red Dot Award 2026 for the mcr Brand

Red Dot Award: Brands & Communication Design is an international competition recognising excellence in branding, communication and design.

Receiving this distinction for the mcr visual identity is an important acknowledgement of the direction we have taken. It demonstrates that a transformation driven primarily by strategic and business considerations has also resulted in an internationally recognised communication design.

We would like to thank the entire Dragon Rouge team for their creativity, courage, collaborative approach and attention to every detail.

Evolving While Staying True to What Matters Most

The new mcr brand brings together two essential aspects of our identity: the continuity of nearly four decades of experience built by “MERCOR” S.A. and our ambition to keep advancing safety technologies.

Our name, logo and colours have changed. The foundations of our business have not – our people, expertise, sense of responsibility and commitment to developing better solutions.

The Red Dot Award 2026 is a source of pride. Above all, however, we are pleased that our new brand increasingly reflects who we are and where we are heading.

mcr. Technology for a Safe Tomorrow.

mcrJAZZ 2026 – koncert Meli Koteluk

The mcrJAZZ Event Series

Three cities, three exceptional evenings and one simple idea: bringing people together to enjoy outstanding live music in carefully selected venues, each with its own distinctive character. The 2026 edition of mcrJAZZ is underway – a series of events that brings us together with our business partners in an atmosphere far removed from everyday conversations about projects and technologies.

For years, mcrJAZZ has brought together live music and the art of building lasting relationships. Each edition offers an opportunity to step away from the routines of everyday business, meet in a more informal setting and share a memorable experience.

After all, while projects, challenges and common business goals bring us together professionally, we believe that lasting partnerships are built, above all, by people.

mcrJAZZ 2026 – Three Cities, One Musical Journey

This year, mcrJAZZ takes us to Gdańsk, Warsaw and Kraków. Each event is hosted in a carefully selected venue whose unique character becomes an integral part of the experience.

At the heart of this year’s musical programme is Mela Koteluk, an artist known for her distinctive voice, sensitivity and remarkable ability to create an intimate atmosphere through live performance.

The evenings are hosted by Tomasz Kammel, who guides our guests through this musical journey.

This year’s edition also marks an important chapter in the event’s history. For the first time, following the changes to the business structure of the former “MERCOR” S.A., mcrJAZZ is jointly hosted by mcr S.A. and MERCOR Light & Vent sp. z o.o.

This collaboration reflects the strong partnership between the two companies. Despite the organisational and business changes, they remain united by a shared commitment to nurturing valuable relationships with their partners.

Gdańsk Behind Us. Warsaw Next!

The opening evening of this year’s edition took place on 17 September 2026 at Stary Maneż in Gdańsk.

It was an evening of live music, meaningful encounters and conversations that we do not always have enough time for in our everyday professional lives. We would like to thank all our guests for joining us and sharing this special occasion.

The second event in the series was scheduled for 15 October 2026 in Warsaw, at the historic Reduta Banku Polskiego, 10 Bielańska Street.

With Mela Koteluk taking to the stage, the venue’s remarkable interiors provide the setting for another evening of music, conversation and shared experiences.

We look forward to more memorable encounters and musical moments as the mcrJAZZ journey continues.

The Grand Finale in Wieliczka

This year’s series will conclude on 19 November 2026 at the Wieliczka Salt Mine.

With its extraordinary setting and unique atmosphere, the venue promises a memorable backdrop for our final gathering. It will be the last opportunity this year to come together with our partners and experience the special atmosphere of mcrJAZZ through live music.

Great music. Great people. Exceptional places.

These are the elements that have shaped the spirit of mcrJAZZ for years.

Fire protection for road tunnels

mcr S.A. at the 3rd PIARC International Conference on Road Tunnel Operations and Safety

Fire protection for road tunnels

This year’s conference will address the entire life cycle of road tunnels – from planning and design through construction to safe operation and maintenance. The programme will cover topics including operational resilience, evacuation and human behaviour, ventilation, tunnel equipment, digitalisation and safety challenges associated with new energy carriers. The event will also provide an important platform for sharing experience and best practices from projects delivered in Poland and around the world.

Tunnel safety requires an integrated approach

Road tunnels are among the most demanding environments from a fire protection perspective. Confined spaces, the potential for a rapid rise in temperature, smoke development, challenging evacuation conditions and the need to maintain the operation of critical infrastructure mean that tunnel safety cannot rely on a single solution.

At the conference, mcr S.A. will therefore present its integrated approach to tunnel fire protection, bringing together the expertise of different companies and specialist areas within the mcr Group.

Our portfolio includes passive fire protection for tunnel structures exposed to high temperatures, protection of cable routes and critical services, smoke extraction and ventilation systems, fire protection of movement joints and service penetrations, fire compartmentation and escape doors, as well as active fire suppression systems based on FOGTEC® high-pressure water mist technology.

The common objective of these technologies is not only to control fire development, but also to protect the tunnel structure and infrastructure, maintain the functionality of critical services and create conditions that support safe evacuation and emergency response.

From passive structural fire protection to active fire suppression

During the event, we will present mcr solutions covering different levels of tunnel fire protection, including mcr Isoverm 825, mcr Tecbor, mcr Silboard, Tecsel®, mcr Polylack Elastic and Tecbor Joint Paste, as well as DFM fire compartmentation solutions.

An important part of our tunnel infrastructure portfolio is FOGTEC® high-pressure water mist technology. High-pressure water mist provides active control of a developing fire while requiring significantly less water than conventional sprinkler and deluge systems. This is important not only for the fire suppression process itself, but also for the tunnel’s technical infrastructure, including the required capacity of fire-water storage tanks, pipe diameters and drainage-system requirements.

Cracow – an international platform for sharing expertise

On the first day of the conference, at 9:55 a.m., Victor Rodriguez, representing our Spanish company mcr Tecresa, will give a presentation entitled “Fire Protection of Critical Infrastructure – Requirements for Tunnel Structures”.

The PIARC conference will take place in Kraków and bring together tunnel infrastructure specialists from many countries. The organisers emphasise the international nature of the event, with experience and lessons learned being shared from both international and Polish projects. The first two editions of the conference were held in Lyon in 2018 and Granada in 2022.

The third day of the event will be dedicated to technical visits. Participants will have the opportunity to visit the existing tunnels of the Łagiewnicka Route in Kraków or the S19 Via Carpatia expressway tunnel currently under construction near Rzeszów.

We invite you to meet the mcr S.A. team during the 3rd PIARC International Conference on Road Tunnel Operations and Safety. Let’s talk about how tunnel fire protection can be designed as one integrated system – from structural fire protection and critical services to active fire suppression, evacuation and safety systems integration.
